The Founders & the Legacy

Ember Global Vision was originally created by Jon and Vanessa Jackson, as a needs based ministry based out of Lake City, Florida.

Known as Crash Movement Ministries, Jon and Vanessa’s vision and mission was to create a community of believers that actively sought to love each other and their neighbors at home and abroad in practical ways, all the while sharing the Gospel with those they served.

Now that they have taken a step back from full-time ministry, they have passed their non-profit to their son and daughter-in-law, Carter and Danielle Jackson, to be a platform for God to use through them. As founders of this non-profit their heart and legacy continue under this new leadership.

Carter & Danielle Jackson

Carter and Danielle Jackson were married in October 2020, and soon after moved to Travesía, Honduras to serve as full-time missionaries with the Buenas Vista Sports Academy. Their time in Honduras deepened their passion for discipleship, mission, and living out the Gospel in everyday ways.

After returning to the United States in December 2022, their heart for missions remained strong. When they were invited by Jon and Vanessa to take over leadership of Crash Movement Ministries, they saw it as an opportunity to build something new on the foundation of a shared calling.

Carter and Danielle are passionate about seeing the Great Commission fulfilled through the everyday obedience of God’s people. They believe that, at its core, the Church’s mission begins with Jesus’ greatest commandment: to love God and to love others. Their dream was to use the nonprofit as a platform to ignite hearts for Christ by equipping ordinary people to boldly live out their faith—loving their neighbors and sharing the transformative love and truth of Jesus through simple, creative, and courageous mission work both locally and globally. From this dream, Ember Global Vision was born.

 

Today, the Jacksons live in West Africa with their two children, Emmitt and Shiloh. Every day, they seek to love their neighbors by meeting practical needs, building genuine relationships, and sharing the hope of the Gospel. Carter is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity online through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, while they continue to invest in the vision God has placed on their hearts—one ember at a time.
